How to choose the right abrasion resistant materials?

 1: Wear-resistant steel plate has high hardness, can be welded, high impact toughness, and good bending performance, but the disadvantage is that it cannot be applied to occasions where the working environment is greater than 200 degrees Celsius. Because the grain grows up, the hardness decreases greatly.


 2: Wear resistant ceramic tile liner, using Al2O3 as the main raw material, rare metal oxides as the solvent, and calcining at 1700 degrees Celsius to become 92 or 95 Al2O3 corundum ceramics. High hardness, excellent wear resistance, light weight, small equipment compound, smooth surface, low friction coefficient, low water absorption, and acid and alkali corrosion resistance. The melting point is as high as 2000 degrees Celsius, but the adhesive is prone to ageing at high temperatures. Therefore, in high-temperature working environments, the ceramic sheets can be made into dovetail groove type mutual compression or welding type to strengthen the bonding strength with the equipment.


3: Ceramic coating: As the temperature rises, the wear resistance of all materials will be affected, but the ceramic coating can reach a maximum of 1200 degrees Celsius, which can withstand the erosion of particles at any erosion angle. But below 300 degrees Celsius, the hardness and wear resistance of the ceramic sheet is better than that of the ceramic coating.
