Chemshun Ceramics produces various industrial wear-resistant ceramics, including zirconia ceramics. The zirconia ceramics produced by our company include zirconia grinding balls and toughened alumina ceramic plates. Zirconia products have high wear resistance, but there are strict requirements in the production process. From raw material powder to molding, production standards must be strictly followed, otherwise the performance of zirconia products will be affected.

1. The influence of zirconia ceramic raw material powder

In the preparation process of ceramic powder, it is inevitable to introduce impurities. The organic impurities are burned off during the firing process, and irregular pores are formed during the early densification process; while inorganic impurities may react with the ceramic powder at high temperature. Or remain in the matrix to form microcracks.

2. The influence of particle size of zirconia ceramic raw material powder

The finer the zirconia powder particles, the greater the activity, which can promote sintering, and the strength of the resulting porcelain is also higher. The risk of cracking, fine grains can also hinder the development of micro-cracks, and it is not easy to fracture in transgranular, which is conducive to improving fracture toughness and wear resistance.

3. The influence of zirconia ceramic sintering

For the sintering of ceramics, simply speaking, it is the densification process of the ceramic green body at high temperature. With the rise of temperature and the prolongation of time, the powder particles are bonded together, the strength of the sintered body increases, and the aggregate of the powder particles becomes a strong polycrystalline sintered body with a certain microstructure. The physical and mechanical properties of an article or material.

4, the influence of zirconia ceramic molding method

The molding of zirconia ceramics generally adopts methods such as dry pressing, isostatic pressing, and hot die casting. Different methods have different characteristics and have different effects on the sinterability and microstructure of the curing rate ceramics. Generally, grouting and hot die casting are mainly used for products with complex shapes, and dry pressing can be used for products with simple shapes. Generally speaking, the compactness of dry-pressed products is better than that of hot-die-cast products.
