Wear alumina ceramic lining construction methods and precautions
Wear alumina ceramic lining construction methods and precautions
As wear resistant alumina ceramic lining supplier and exporter, Chemshun Ceramics has much experience of installing ceramics. here tips about ceramic construciton methods are shared as follows :
1. The surface to be adhered needs to be treated in order to bond firmly. The metal contact surfaces are ground and rust-removed and cleaned with 99% acetone to remove oil contamination from the metal equipment. If the bonding surface is non-metallic, the surface needs to be polished and roughened.
2. The ceramic special glue is generally of type A+B. Firstly, mix and stir the glue according to the specified mixing ratio. Apply to the surface of the equipment to be bonded, apply the glue to the wear-resistant ceramic, and ensure that the glue is leveled as far as possible. When installing, use a rubber hammer to make a firm bond and reduce the gap between ceramics (1-2mm gap).
3. After bonding, the glue must be air-dried at room temperature for 24 hours before it can be used. In the process of air-drying, a rubber hammer can be used to lightly inspect to determine the viscous condition of ceramics. If there is a hollow sound, there is a lack of glue in the alumina ceramic lining . The wear-resistant ceramic lining should be lifted out to re-stick.
Pay attention to the problem during the construction process:
1. In the rainy season or when the ambient humidity is high, the surface of the metal material should be coated with anti-rust metal immediately after cleaning.
2. Glue should be accurately proportioned according to the stated proportion, and special personnel should be arranged to reduce the construction quality problems caused by the difference in glue proportioning.
3. The glue will be fully cured within two hours after being dispensed, so the single-use glue should be used within 40 minutes.
4. The low temperature seriously affects the adhesive strength of the glue. Especially when the temperature is lower than 0°C, the glue freezes, completely loses the adhesive ability, and the ceramic lining cannot be normally adhered. In this case, the surface to be bonded can be heated to 30 centi-degree (not more than 50 centi-degree) before the bonding operation is performed until the curing is completed.
