Advantages and Disadvantages of Pasted Ceramic Lining and Welded Ceramic Lining
The two commonly used methods of installing wear-resistant ceramic lining in wear-resistant ceramic pipe are direct pasting and welding. Both of them can improve the service life of transportation pipeline and protect the inner wall steel from the direct impact wear and corrosion of materials, but the two are different in cost, process and use effect. Let's take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of pasted ceramic liners and welded ceramic liners in wear-resistant ceramic pipes.
The advantages of pasted wear-resistant ceramic lining are that the construction cost is relatively low, the process is relatively simple, and it can be installed in the small pipe diameter of 108mm or so. Even if the internal structure of the equipment is slightly complex, the pasted wear-resistant ceramic lining can be installed. The disadvantage of pasted wear-resistant ceramic lining is that the connection between the ceramic and the equipment mainly depends on the ceramic adhesive. Even the high-temperature adhesive, the temperature resistance is about 220 degrees Celsius. If the temperature exceeds this, the wear-resistant ceramic in the pipeline may fall off when it is continuously impacted by the material. So pasted wear-resistant ceramic lining is not suitable for high temperature and strong impact environment.
The advantages of weld-type wear-resistant ceramic lining are fixed by combining welding and inorganic adhesive, which can operate normally for a long time at a high temperature of 700 degrees Celsius. Moreover, because the fixing is more solid, it can be used in high speed machines and other moving parts which are affected by large impact equipment or parts. The wear resistance and impact resistance effect are relatively better. The disadvantage of welded wear-resistant ceramic lining is that the construction cost is relatively high, the process is more complex, the labor cost is higher, and the need to use welding equipment, can not be used in the pipe with small diameter.
Pasted wear-resistant ceramic lining and welded wear-resistant ceramic lining have advantages and disadvantages, which need to be selected according to the actual working conditions.
